THIRD TRIMESTER!

First -- We've been having some computer issues here! First blogger wasn't working, then my internet connection wasn't working. Either way here I am. Hope you're all doing well and are as excited as I am that Spring has finally come!

Lots of changes are going on here. The third trimester has started! The home stretch! You can read all the pregnancy books you want but nothing prepares you for actually going through it. It's amazing and uncomfortable all at the same time. I want nothing more than this pain in my right rib to stop, yet I don't want him to come out yet because it's not time! I have been commenting on this lately, so you may have already heard me say this, but I can't believe it took 6 months to get this little guy to 2 lbs - and now we're going to take the last 3 months to pack on 5-7 more lbs. 1 lb every 3 months and then suddenly 2 lbs every single month? Doesn't this seem a little mean to the poor momma? I mean really! Can't we spread it out more evenly? Because I am feeling the stretch!! He also is growing to the point where it is getting harder for him to move around inside, so when he does I really feel it. Somebody at work even SAW it and commented "Is your belly moving?" Yup it is! That would be my baby boy. :) He has grown quite fond of my right ribs and kicking them and whatever other organ/tissues are in that region. And sometimes I think he just plain tries to jump out.

Sleeping has become a luxury - not a given. And something tells me it was planned this way for a specific reason. :) It is just so hard to find a comfortable position. Naps are high on my priority list right now. Heartburn has returned, but not nearly as bad as before.

Overall though, I'm still so happy/excited for this baby! I don't want these posts to always be about complaining about symptoms - but really pregnancy is 9 months solid of body changes and new things to get used to. I think I am maybe more excited now than ever since I got to see my sister's baby and the whole process for her from start to finish. We never thought he would look like a Larson and now I want to know what my baby looks like!

Tuesday

Blogger is down...

I have attempted to write this post three times and something is going on with Blogger that won't allow me to finish it...hopefully this one works.

I'll write more later - but here's a quick picture of our first baby purchase!

Hope you all had a wonderful Easter...I'll try write again tonight and see if it's any better.

More pictures!

I've got some more pictures of Carter and family so I'll post those below...

One funny thing I forgot to mention earlier is that as my sister was in labor I was at my regular OB visit! It went well. I did get checked because I've been having a lot of Braxton Hicks contractions, but all looked well there too. Just like when I used to check the heartbeat, the doctor had to play a little game with the baby to get him to stay in one spot to check the heartbeat. He would find it, then you would hear this "woosh woosh" and the heartbeat was gone. :) This child is SO active in my stomach - I'm already having nightmares of a two-year-old terror! (Especially now with a boy counsin he can get in trouble with!)

Monday

And it's a...

BOY!!

We welcome to the world

Carter Ross Spoonland

He was born by C-section tonight sometime around 8-9ish. Both mom and baby are doing great!! That's pretty much all I know right now, but I will post more as it comes!

There are very few people who will get this, but we now have the 2nd generation of Bimbo Boys!!

*****************UPDATE*********************

Mom and baby are doing great!! Carter was 8 lbs 6 oz - smaller than expected but with a 15 inch head and his hand up by his head - and that is what kept him from moving down. Carter is a LARSON - check out the nose!! SO cute. I cannot wait to meet him! Katie is doing well, tired, but very good. I'm so excited and we are such a blessed family to have this little boy in our lives!!

Snow Day!

We are still living in a winter wonderland here in big 'ol Wisconsin! Jeremy and I decided to build a snowman today after church...actually it turned into more of a bird-sort-of-animal. :) We had fun. This is out on our still rock hard lake, and this snow is going to be here for a while longer.

I'm going to be an aunt again pretty soon!! Katie goes into the hospital tonight to be prepared for inducing and the pitocin starts tomorrow morning. I can't wait!! The ironic thing is that I have an OB appointment at 4:15 tomorrow - possibly at the same time my sister is giving birth. Too weird. :)

Saturday

I'M SORRY!!!

I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry! I know it's been way too long since the last time I wrote - I apologize. My mother always said if you have nothing nice to say then don't say anything at all. :) It's been a rough hormone week. We'll just say that. :)

Our baby boy is doing wonderful! He is kicking so much more...more often and stronger. I'm feeling the kicks internally now, which is a bit on the weird side! I feel like I should be able to put my hand to my back and feel the kick, but it obviously does not work that way. Sleeping is getting difficult, though. It's just so hard to turn in bed! I feel like I need a post in front of me to grab onto so I can turn myself over - it can be really funny at times. The leg cramps have subsided for now, thank goodness. I still feel them coming on but I've been able to get out of bed before and stretch my leg out before the cramp starts. Heartburn, knock on wood, has disappeared for now. Yeah!! But like I said earlier, it's just been a rough week. I hear the mean words coming out of my mouth, I know they're wrong, and there is no way to stop them! I really feel out of control sometimes. I'm truly working on watching what I say and my attitude towards everything, but it can be so hard sometimes.

Here's a picture of me taken today - 25 weeks! In 11 weeks my baby will be considered full term. That's crazy to me. One of the women I know online had her baby prematurely this week at 24 weeks 1 day. She posted a picture and this little girl is so tiny, 1 lb 4 oz. Please pray for her, her name is Maria Grace. She is doing well, but of course faces many obstacles ahead.

Samson, our cat, has been extremely adorable this week. We have been finding him sleeping in the oddest places! He also is getting quite attached to Jeremy - I'm not sure if he is starting to ignore me or not (I have been told this will happen after the baby comes) but he definitely wants to be laying on Jeremy whenever he can.

Alright, that's all for now!! I promise to keep up with the posting a little better from now on!! I missed writing and I heard about it from several people, so at least I know you're still checking the website. :)

I was told there may be some problems with posting comments, so I'm looking into it and will try to fix it as soon as possible.

TTFN. :)

Thursday

It's been a...

rough pregnancy day. :( Hormones are on super-high - resulting in spontaneous crying! Don't ask me why I'm crying, because I, too, have no idea why. I had to sit for about 7 hours today at work, (transcription) and this is the first time my back and body really ached. I needed to get up quite often to stay comfortable, but even then my back was throbbing by the end. Braxton-Hicks contractions have started, and though I know they are normal, they are still scary. I had one wake me up in the night last night. I never really get more than one or two a day, at most. Still weird though! And to continue my can't-stop-complaining post - leg cramps have started. OH MY. I woke up two nights ago screaming out in pain at 4 a.m. Poor Jeremy didn't know what was going on but he finally figured it out and started to push my foot up slowly. I've had leg cramps before, but this one was brutal. And it lasted for MINUTES. I have had them before and can get them to go away fairly quickly, but this one was so strong. My foot was stuck in the pointer-ballerina position...know what I mean? Stuck. I'm still sore. AND my final complaint...I'm home alone tonight so made myself some supper. Spaghetti and garlic bread! :) The buzzer for the garlic bread goes off and I open the oven with my hot oven pad and the pad slips and I grab the 425 degree cookie sheet with my bare hand. Some not so nice words proceed to flow from my mouth and I officially have no sensation in my third finger.

Do you feel sorry for me yet?? :)

Okay, enough of my pity party. Here's a picture from St. Cloud I wasn't going to post, but I changed my mind. It's of me and my sister and the wind makes me look horrible!! Oh well :). She is 8 months pregnant in this picture and I am about 4 1/2 months. Again, I can't tell you how much fun it was to be with her one last time before her child is born and for both of us to have separate lives living inside of us. (She is being induced in a week and a half!!) Simply amazing.

TTFN! :)

22 weeks!

Well, actually it's 22 weeks 6 days...so I will be 23 weeks tomorrow, but I've been trying to update the belly pictures every 2 weeks so I had to get this one in there. The top picture is from 18 weeks, about 4 weeks ago, and then the bottom one is from today: (I'm definitely growing!)

I feel like I've had another growth spurt these last two days. I can usually tell because 1) I get bigger :) 2) There's more pain in my stomach region 3) I feel really tired and REALLY dehydrated. Which usually brings along with it a nice headache!

Thank you for all your opinions on the fabric choices. Jeremy got home from work, and he as well liked the third choice the best, so I think that's the one we're going to go with. Hancock Fabrics is having a big sale this Saturday on all their fabrics, so we'll pick it up then. Going by a rough estimate, I think I'm saving around $200+ by making it myself. Not bad! :) And really not too hard either - well, we'll wait and see until I get into it!!

TTFN!

Tuesday

Time for your opinions!

We had a wonderful time in St. Cloud this past weekend and it was so good getting to spend some time with my family! It was fun sitting next to Katie on the bed and both of our babies kicking inside of us. She's much more ready to be done being pregnant than I am, but it was still very cool being with her while we're both pregnant nonetheless. Baby got lots of spoiling though! Nana bought tons of outfits and we found a few too. Here is a sweater I found that matched Christopher exactly! We'll have to get a picture of the two of them together after baby comes:

Also, I've decided to make my own crib bedding and so I've come up with these 3 combos and want your comments as to which one you like best! Here they are:

So which one do you like?? TTFN!
