Monday

Lotsa news...

Much to tell! This Sunday was Oliver's dedication at church. It was a wonderful time and the whole family on both sides came. We had to rent out the Senior Citizen's Center to house everyone for a meal. Erin and Steve even came all the way from Albert Lea, MN! We really appreciated having everyone there. It meant so much to us! Here's one picture from the church. Oliver did so well! He was staring up at the fans the whole time, it was pretty cute. Then he promptly fell asleep and stayed that way the rest of the service. :)

In other news, Oliver is feeling better, but still has a runny nose and a little cough. Now I knew these were related to teething, but really, HE'S TEETHING! It's crazy! I had Katie feel in his mouth for a tooth because she knows what she's looking for, and sure enough she found one trying to poke through on the bottom gums. I felt it too and you can even see this little white thing trying to come out! My poor guy is miserable. He spent 2 whole hours crying Sunday after everyone left, and you could tell it was his mouth. He would try to be happy, smiling sometimes, but then just start whimpering and crying again. I felt so bad! Hopefully it will be over soon, but then it will all start all over again with the next one. :(

The following pictures are from our session today at Sears! They did such a good job and I'm so pleased with them. Oliver did so well! He did spit up all over the lady, but she didn't seem to mind. :) He's changed so much - he's growing so fast! We were also surprised but they put them on the internet right away and allowed us to save them to our computer, so I will put them up here. Obviously it would be illegal to print them out but you can look all you want! There is one with the teddy bears with hair in the picture, the photographers, but that was edited out afterwards, but these are the proofs so it's still on it in these ones.

That's about it! Hope you're all doing well. Keep warm....

Ollie's sick... :(

Oliver is sick! :( I was too - all day Sunday was spent in bed after church. And most of Monday morning - Jeremy stayed home to help with Oliver. Ollie was up Sunday night from 1 a.m. to 7 a.m. on and off and never did sleep in his crib - he couldn't breathe! Jeremy and I took shifts staying up with him with him sleeping on us upright. Jeremy took him to the doctor yesterday and we got the whole "it's just a virus that needs to play itself out" speech. I guess that's good - I'd rather not have him on antibiotics if we don't have to. But I was worried it was in his ears or lungs and I'm glad to know it's not. He just sounds horrible when you lay him down and he just wants to be held and comforted all day long - (not a problem!). Today seems to be going better, but I stayed home from work and kept him out of daycare too...he wasn't ready quite yet.

Here are some pictures to hold you over! Hope you're all staying healthy - this sickness stuff is absolutely no fun.

100th post and 3 months old!

Two big things! Today is my 100th post on the blog. Wow! I never thought that this would go this long, but it's been fun to look back on when we first got pregnant and re-living all the emotions. I miss being pregnant!! And now my baby is 3 months old. OH....how time flies!

Ollie is doing so much these days - it actually may not seem like a lot to you, but every tiny little thing that is new we make a big deal of around here! He is *almost* rolling over from back to front. He gets to his side and then gets stuck. But soon! He also is grabbing at and pulling toys from his swing and bouncy chair. He loves the little bird on the bouncy seat - he smiles and coos at it! He also is holding his head up very well. He can go for a few minutes now at a time before the bobbing starts, otherwise it was typically under a minute.

He's also decided that 4 a.m. is a good play time! The last week he has been waking up at 4, not hungry, just wanting attention and to play. UGH. We usually are able to wrap him back up, give him his pacifier and he'll go back to sleep - but seriously where did this come from??! Very odd but cute at the same time.

Last but not least some pictures! Hope you are all doing well - I'll write more later.
