Post haircut, having fun with stickers! You can't tell the difference very much in this picture, but the back was trimmed about an inch and the top a couple of inches. He looks so grown up now! We didn't lose any curls either!! If anything they got tighter :) (YEAH! Momma is a little attached to those curls...)

I'm ready for school mom!!! Oliver got a new backpack (instead of that big bulky diaper bag) and needless to say he loves it! He falls over though when we first put it on -- too funny :)

I know I've been bad updating, but keep checking this week! I've got lots to share :) Oliver got his first hair cut!!!

So I took a month off!! We're back now though and *hopefully* things are going to be slowing down around here...I feel like we've been going 90 mph for the last few weeks. Ready to explode!! We had some fun outside a while back and got some pictures. Ollie's still not sure about that whale though :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY OLIVER BJORN!

Oh I just can't believe it! It's been one whole year since Oliver was born. So much has happened, so much has changed. Our lives were changed. I remember being so overwhelmed with love I thought my heart was literally going to burst. I didn't know what to do with myself at times. He is the most fun little boy. He loves to share his food and climb up on people. He loves to play with tractors and trucks and walks all over the house, screaming in joy. He's not too fond of diaper changes but he sure loves to get you wet during bath time! He thinks the world of his daddy already and he goes to his momma for comfort. He loves to pull on the kitty but realizes now the end result is usually biting, so he doesn't go there anymore. He LOVES to read books and will sit on the floor by himself and open them up, turn the pages, going through all of them. Mostly though, he is to us a vision of God's love. To think God gave his only son to die on a cross to save us from our sins, I just can't even imagine that with Ollie. My heart would die. It would be too hard. But God did do that for us, and Jesus gave himself for us. Ollie's birth put that into a whole new perspective for us.

Ollie is such a blessing in our life and I thank God everyday for giving me that blessing. The joy in the house is tangible and the love is overwhelming still.

He's up and walking!! Okay, he can't walk by himself yet but I have a feeling he will be soon. He can cruise all around the house with this little thing -- a gift from Grandma and Grandpa Marquardt.

He had a rough week. About 2 days after I posted last, Ollie came down with a horrible stomach flu. He had vomiting, diarrhea and a fever for 5 days. He *finally* is acting normal again, and we are slowly reintroducing solid foods and formula still has to be diluted down, to avoid further upseting his stomach. We were pretty worried for a while, and it felt like it did at the very beginning -- watching for signs of dehydration, dirty diapers, capillary refill time, number of wet diapers in "x" amount of hours -- ah. It was horrible. But it's all over now and as you can tell by the picture above, he's back to being a little boy!!

Well, he's sicker than sick today - but still managed to get into the toilet paper! I couldn't have left him for more than 30 seconds, and he did this much damage. He's cruising!

We moved!! Sorry there's no pictures to post right now, but I just wanted to post a quick update. We moved and are in the new house, many thanks to my family for that. We would be so lost without them. Ollie is doing well - hitting so many milestones so quickly! I will post pictures very, very soon. Just wanted to update you all...take care!

We're at Nana and Bumpa's for the weekend - though these pictures are from a previous weekend. Ollie and Carter are so much fun to watch. Actually all 3 of them play together really well - and we create so many memories everytime we're here. We're so blessed to be so near to family - I love knowing Ollie and Carter will grow up knowing eachother.
