Give me some more momma!

Monday

I haven't forgotten...but

Ollie's sick. Again. :-( It's so hard to hear him whimper in his sleep! He's not eating very much right now so we're keeping a really close eye on him, but he's just feeling really rough. He's got a fever and we thought it was teething, but I think it may be more now. We're watching him, giving him Tylenol when we can and just cuddling him. I'll update when he's feeling better. :-(

A day in the life!

Okay I know this is my second post for the day, but for my online board I posted "A day in the life of Oliver" so I thought I'd post it over here too. We were snowed in for the the day (daddy stayed home!) so we had lots of fun. Enjoy!
*****************************************************
He actually woke up and had a bottle before the first picture, but Jeremy got up with him and didn't take pictures. We are in a horrible storm today so school was cancelled and daddy got to stay home! Also, he had his very first cereal today. He ate the whole 5 tbsp or so - didn't fight the spoon at all. He was ready!

I want those!

Sunday

Pictures!

I am going to try make some changes to the blog. First off - I don't always know what to say because, quite honestly, we lead boring lives! That is one reason for not posting so much. Before, something new was happening everyday with the pregnancy. Now that it's over...well, we're boring! Second - everyone is always requesting pictures...which I think is great. SO - I'm going to try make this into more of a daily photo blog. Grant me some time while I figure this all out, but what I'd like to do is post one picture of Ollie everyday from that day - whatever he's doing. Sleeping, eating, you get the idea. I won't necessarily write anything with it, sometimes just the picture. But this way I still get to chronicle his life, show off my little baby!, and fulfill Nana's obsession in the meantime.

Here are two of my favorites - these were just taken last week. TOO precious for words - Oliver has the best dad in the world.

Wednesday

Sick, Sick, Sick. Sick and tired of being sick.

Ugh. That's how I feel. Medicine-head, stuffy nose, sick stomach, sore throat, coughing my brains out sick. I finally went in today because this is week #3 for me, and they think I have walking pneumonia. :( Whatever it is, I feel lousy and after 3 weeks of this, I'm ready to be done with it.

Ollie is doing better, but he too still has a lingering cold that's not letting go. They said if he doesn't get better by next week they need to put him on antibiotics too. Poor guy...and then Jeremy. Jeremy is sick as well, but his just started this week so they won't give him anything for another 2-3 weeks.

Other than that, life has been trying to progress as normally as possible. Halloween was great fun - we visited the nursing home with a couple friend and the assisted living apartments as well. The residents really enjoyed us and it was great being able to be indoors and warm. Ollie did great! Fell asleep about half way through and was the cutest bear ever. He has recently found his feet and loves to suck on them. It's so funny! He's so bendable.

I need to go back to bed. Hope you're all doing better where you're at and if not - we can share Kleenex.

Monday

Lotsa news...

Much to tell! This Sunday was Oliver's dedication at church. It was a wonderful time and the whole family on both sides came. We had to rent out the Senior Citizen's Center to house everyone for a meal. Erin and Steve even came all the way from Albert Lea, MN! We really appreciated having everyone there. It meant so much to us! Here's one picture from the church. Oliver did so well! He was staring up at the fans the whole time, it was pretty cute. Then he promptly fell asleep and stayed that way the rest of the service. :)

In other news, Oliver is feeling better, but still has a runny nose and a little cough. Now I knew these were related to teething, but really, HE'S TEETHING! It's crazy! I had Katie feel in his mouth for a tooth because she knows what she's looking for, and sure enough she found one trying to poke through on the bottom gums. I felt it too and you can even see this little white thing trying to come out! My poor guy is miserable. He spent 2 whole hours crying Sunday after everyone left, and you could tell it was his mouth. He would try to be happy, smiling sometimes, but then just start whimpering and crying again. I felt so bad! Hopefully it will be over soon, but then it will all start all over again with the next one. :(

The following pictures are from our session today at Sears! They did such a good job and I'm so pleased with them. Oliver did so well! He did spit up all over the lady, but she didn't seem to mind. :) He's changed so much - he's growing so fast! We were also surprised but they put them on the internet right away and allowed us to save them to our computer, so I will put them up here. Obviously it would be illegal to print them out but you can look all you want! There is one with the teddy bears with hair in the picture, the photographers, but that was edited out afterwards, but these are the proofs so it's still on it in these ones.

That's about it! Hope you're all doing well. Keep warm....

Tuesday

Ollie's sick... :(

Oliver is sick! :( I was too - all day Sunday was spent in bed after church. And most of Monday morning - Jeremy stayed home to help with Oliver. Ollie was up Sunday night from 1 a.m. to 7 a.m. on and off and never did sleep in his crib - he couldn't breathe! Jeremy and I took shifts staying up with him with him sleeping on us upright. Jeremy took him to the doctor yesterday and we got the whole "it's just a virus that needs to play itself out" speech. I guess that's good - I'd rather not have him on antibiotics if we don't have to. But I was worried it was in his ears or lungs and I'm glad to know it's not. He just sounds horrible when you lay him down and he just wants to be held and comforted all day long - (not a problem!). Today seems to be going better, but I stayed home from work and kept him out of daycare too...he wasn't ready quite yet.

Here are some pictures to hold you over! Hope you're all staying healthy - this sickness stuff is absolutely no fun.

Monday

100th post and 3 months old!

Two big things! Today is my 100th post on the blog. Wow! I never thought that this would go this long, but it's been fun to look back on when we first got pregnant and re-living all the emotions. I miss being pregnant!! And now my baby is 3 months old. OH....how time flies!

Ollie is doing so much these days - it actually may not seem like a lot to you, but every tiny little thing that is new we make a big deal of around here! He is *almost* rolling over from back to front. He gets to his side and then gets stuck. But soon! He also is grabbing at and pulling toys from his swing and bouncy chair. He loves the little bird on the bouncy seat - he smiles and coos at it! He also is holding his head up very well. He can go for a few minutes now at a time before the bobbing starts, otherwise it was typically under a minute.

He's also decided that 4 a.m. is a good play time! The last week he has been waking up at 4, not hungry, just wanting attention and to play. UGH. We usually are able to wrap him back up, give him his pacifier and he'll go back to sleep - but seriously where did this come from??! Very odd but cute at the same time.

Last but not least some pictures! Hope you are all doing well - I'll write more later.

TTFN!
